Stand Out with Professional Holiday Let Photography
It can increase bookings & revenue by 20%
Holiday let photography is so much more than pretty pictures. It needs to simultaneously show the space accurately, help viewers imagine staying there and stand out from other property listings. Potential guests want to see the care and attention you put into preparing your property for them, the hamper you may leave for them, the plump cushions by the cosy log burner or the extra towels for the hot tub. They want to see the spaces accurately photographed so when they arrive, they feel at home rather than disappointed by over-staged, over-edited or misleading wide angle photographs.
AirBnB themselves state that using professional photographs for your holiday let advertising can positively boost bookings and therefore revenue by up to 20%. That’s worth having right? Investing in just one photo shoot can pay for itself with just one booking.
Think about the last time you booked a holiday cottage or remote escape, how many listings did you trawl through before *something* stopped you and you clicked on it? I’m guessing it was the photos that stopped you!?
Us humans are visual creatures, we take in more visual information every second than you realise, and we make hundreds of decisions based on that visual info, sometimes decisions so small we don’t even realise we’re making them. Perceptions and impressions are formed primarily by what we see. We make a judgement instantly and either move on or stop to find out more. Those impressions are backed up (or contradicted!) by what we read. This is why it’s crucial to show photographs of your holiday let that give the right impressions, that represent the space in it’s best ‘book me now’ light.
This is where I can help you!
If you have a holiday cottage, shepherds hut, glamping pods or other wild escape in North Yorkshire, Co. Durham or Cumbria, I’d love to work with you.
Why invest in holiday let photography
Higher earning potential
Holiday lets using professional photography receive 20% more bookings and therefore earn more compared to listings with poor-quality or amateur photos. This means photography has a real, measurable return on investment and is one of the most affordable ways to boost your rental income.
Promotes & builds guest trust
Hiring a photographer to capture photos that represent the best of your holiday let not only shows your dedication to your business but is more likely to engage your audience. Stunning photos communicate cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism. Guests want to be completely reassured of what they are getting for their money before they make a transaction.
Helps you stand out in a competitive market
The UK staycation market is highly competitive. Stunning photos that capture the heart, soul & atmosphere of your holiday let ensure your property stops potential guests from scrolling past your listing on platforms like Airbnb, booking.com or Vrbo.
Saves you time
Property photographers know how to use light, composition and camera techniques to best capture your property. And they have the equipment to do it. A smartphone cannot compete with professional equipment, knowledge and experience. Setting aside an hour or several depending on your property size and needs will give you a library of images showing all rooms plus details and lifestyle images, and saving you hours.
Things you don't need to worry about...
Being there with me – if you don’t live close to your holiday let, you don’t need to attend the shoot if you can’t. I’m happy to collect keys, do my thing and leave the property exactly as I found it.
Organising props – if you’d like breakfast or afternoon tea to be staged, I can bring the necessary foods with me, as well as fresh flowers and appropriate books or magazines. I can organise models too if you’d like a full lifestyle shoot (additional cost is incurred).
Any of the technicalities – we’ll have a chat beforehand to find out what you need, who’s supplying what and from then on it’s over to me to capture the property in all it’s glory, with or without lifestyle aspects to the shoot. You don’t need to worry about getting the right shots, angles, light or anything else.
Here's what the process looks like
Every holiday let has it’s own style, heart & soul so each session is tailored to what you need. My aim is to guide you through the process so you receive images you love and will work hard for your business.
Clarity Call
Once you're booked in and a date is arranged we'll have an in depth chat about what you need, which rooms need styling or not, and all the other little details that will result in successful photos. This is where you decide if you want th property photographing as it is or if lifestyle images are also required.
Shoot Day
The fun part! I will bring everything I need from croissants to lighting. I'll start by going around the property to style and prepare the cottage for photography. This will involve removing certain items (bins, washing up brushes, etc) as well as adding suitable props such as fresh bread, fruit, flowers or suitable magazines.
Your Gallery
I aim to deliver your gallery as quickly as possible. It could be a couple of days or up to 2 weeks. It's time to get excited about using your new images! You'll receive an email with link and passcode so you can login and download your high and low resolution images.
Your investment options
Below are my most popular holiday let photography session options. If these options don’t suit you we can create a bespoke package for you, just ask! With each package you will receive your photos within approx. 2 weeks if not sooner.
